Sewing, sewing, sewing.....

Today Betty and I are going to the Indy area to look for fabric. I have offered to make the outfit she will wear to her 50th celebration. Last Friday we met at JoAnn's here in Lafayette. We found something we liked, but one of the fabrics was not the right shade. So today that is why we are going to look elsewhere. Wish us luck.

I've had lots of sewing lately. One day I hemmed 6 pair pants. I really enjoy that. Pants are easy. If only I had a yard boy to help clean up the Hickory nuts. I heard last week that if you roast the Hickory Nuts, they crack open. I have an outdoor fireplace and I need to try that. Any one else game to help me?? Stop by some time.

Man, if we lived nearby I'd make my kids come over to serve their community service hours by cleaning your backyard.
Maybe CC has a community service program and you could give some kids a few hours?

What a nice thought, Sam. I've asked Doug to have Levi and a couple of his friends come by and help. Three of those young guys could clean that up an about 20 minutes. But, no, no one shows up. Oh, well, I'll just spend their inheirtance. Just so I don't hurt my back first.

Mighty nice of you. And, yes, I wish you lived closer too.

OH NO, I love where I live. I hope to stay here (or maybe the 4 corners area) for most of my life.

I just have kids that have mandatory community service through their school. If they could get the time and help a relative that would be great.

CC does have to do service hours! You ought to call up the office and see if you can get any volunteers!
